Protecting and Empowering Those Who Care

Safe to Care is a person-centered platform that protects and empowers health professionals in violent environments.

We understand that healthcare workers often continue to care for patients even in dangerous situations, but insecurity can escalate rapidly – due to conflicts, politics or social tension –, leaving professionals exposed.

OUR STORY

How It Began

Safe to Care was founded by Ana Elisa Barbar, a psychologist with over a decade of experience working in protection for health workers in insecure contexts.

She is joined by a growing network of professionals –  doctors, psychologists, policymakers –, who believe in the same mission.
